Bart’s Bash seems to have become the most subscribed event in our annual calendar. Timed almost at the end of the season, it’s usually warm weather involving dinghies and cruisers – in short everyone goes racing on this day. Followed up in the afternoon with the largest social event of our season, a barbeque in the yard, children on the beach a happy chaos. The event raises funds for the charity in the process Bart’s Bash – Our flagship fundraising race connecting sailing communities across the globe (bartsbash.com)

“Members of East Dorset Sailing Club have supported Bart’s Bash since its inception in 2014. By doing so, we bring together our members to an event on and off the water. When the race is completed we have a BBQ and open the bar and reflect on the fun we had on the water. Bart’s Bash is a catalyst for our club. It is a fundraiser, a social event, a mixed ability race and a trophy for our junior members. It is our flagship event of the season and every year it just gets better and better.”
