Vice Commodore Chris Frost recently visited Freemantle Sailing club in Western Australia and had a chance to sail with an FSC member across to the famous Rottnest Island.
On returning to the club he was able to set up a burgee exchange with their current Commodore Kyle Timms. So if you are in Freemantle then take a look over the bar for the EDSC burgess, it will be there now. FSC is a large club with a huge marina, a pretty incredible restaurant and over 3,500 members.
Some of you might know the history when in the 1980’s the Australians took the Americas Cup after it had spent 132 years in the New York Yacht Club. There is a very impressive array of trophy’s in four cabinets, visiting sailors are very welcome and the lamb shank is legendary !
